Not going to name any names, but I would like to mention several of the sites in this list distribute themes with encrypted code. Please see my post for details.
I’d recommend everyone use a plugin like Theme Authenticity Checker to check if there’s any encrypted code in themes (preferably before uploading to a live site).

Excellent, some great resources there. My iphone blog is still om the default wordpress theme, which looks amateurish to say the least. It’s going to take me hours to go through that lot. There are real professional looking themes though, I’ve seen site charging for worse one.

I haven’t seen a better list than this. It’s easy to get into the habit of going to the same sites for premium and Free themes and in doing so you never get to appreciate some of the work that other companies and individuals produce for this great open source platform.
